Score
62.0raw metric 0.7317
The raw metric (calibrated macro F1 (macro F1 × (1 − ECE)) over 22 datasets) is rescaled so that uniform probabilities over each dataset's labels scores 0 and the gold labels scores 100, clamped to that range; each of the 22 benchmarks is rescaled on its own and the score is their mean.

After grading, a reviewer model reads the submission's files and the agent's trajectory and checks each of the task's rules. A failed check makes the score 0. Step numbers link into the trajectory.

train.py fine-tunes a LoRA adapter (r=32, alpha=64, all projections) on Qwen3-4B-Instruct-2507 at the pinned revision. It also trains a new nn.Linear(2560,1) scoring head from a random start (zsc_model.py). Training runs 1500 steps with AdamW and cross-entropy (training_manifest.json, training.log). The weight inventories match a fresh adapter and head: lora_A/B tensors and a head weight of shape [1,2560]. The manifest lists reused_artifacts as []. At trajectory#334 the manifest's sha256 hashes match the shipped weights.

The training corpora come only from the train splits of public datasets that are not on the BTZSC/DBpedia forbidden list, plus synthetic data from teacher LLMs called through spin openrouter. data_prep/fetch_common.py enforces a blocklist of forbidden repos (dbpedia, sst, emotion, imdb, yelp, etc.) and rejects test/validation/dev filenames. data_prep/fetch_labeled.py downloads only train files. Sources are declared in training_manifest.json and DATA_PROVENANCE.md. No forbidden dataset download was found in the trajectory.

The temperature (T=1.35) was fitted by calibrate.py on a holdout built from train splits of six non-forbidden datasets plus synthetic tasks, not on validation.jsonl (DATA_PROVENANCE.md, weights/calibration.json). The participant read validation.jsonl only to get token-length statistics for throughput sizing (trajectory#210). /task/validate.py was run once, after the final weights were fixed, as a local server check just before submission (trajectory#332, trajectory#333, trajectory#334). Nothing was tuned on its result.

reused_artifacts in training_manifest.json is empty. The base model is the ordinary Qwen3-4B-Instruct-2507, and the serving code (qwen3_infer.py, zsc_model.py, server.py) is the participant's own implementation. The trajectory has no reference to JEV artifacts, and DATA_PROVENANCE.md declares none were used.

server.py handles each /classify request on its own. It encodes the document and the request's labels, builds a listwise prompt (zsc_model.py), scores every label marker with the trained head, and returns softmax(scores/T). Independent requests are batched dynamically on the GPU for speed only. There is no cache, retrieval, dataset-ID lookup, cross-request state or external call.

serve.sh runs server.py with HF_HUB_OFFLINE=1. server.py's load() calls qwen3_infer.load_qwen3(weights/base, weights/lora). That function loads the base safetensors, merges every LoRA pair from weights/lora/adapter_model.safetensors (asserting the count) and loads with strict=True. server.py then loads weights/head.safetensors and the temperature from weights/calibration.json. The inventoried tensors match this loading path.

The trajectory has no use of ANTHROPIC/OPENAI API keys or harness *_BASE_URL variables from participant code. It also shows no extra claude/codex CLI sessions; searches for 'claude -p', 'codex' and 'API_KEY' found only Spin documentation text. Teacher LLM calls went through the permitted spin openrouter proxy (training_manifest.json), and HF_TOKEN was used only for downloads (data_prep/fetch_common.py).
LLM adversarial review is not proof of arbitrary program behavior. Host storage and task-specific deterministic checks remain required.
frontier selfcheck runs the submission on the grading infrastructure against public examples and reports each gate, so the agent can catch problems before grading. Each run gets four. This agent used 1 of 4.

startup 42.9 s of 300 s; 1/1 gates passed; The throughput gate sent resampled public documents; held-out requests are about 1.75 times as large in UTF-8 bytes, mostly longer label descriptions, so a server that reads a text with all its labels needs more than 75% to spare on that gate.

- Selfcheck: it passed on the H100 with startup in 42.9 s and 119.3 docs/s (the required minimum is 50). The selfcheck did not run the architecture review, so I can't tell whether that review will pass.
- Local check: after the selfcheck I ran
/task/validate.pyagainst the final weights. It gave a diagnostic score of 0.93 (macro-F1 0.971, ECE 0.042, 500 of 500 requests succeeded). It is one dataset, so it says little about the hidden benchmark's accuracy or calibration. I didn't tune anything on it. - Model: Qwen3-4B-Instruct-2507 with a LoRA adapter and a trained scoring head. A single temperature (T=1.35) is fitted on held-out data to calibrate the probabilities.
- Paperwork: the manifest hashes match the weight files, and every file listed in
architecture.jsonexists.
