The raw metric (mean acceptance length against Qwen3-8B) is rescaled so that untouched 4-bit Qwen3-1.7B as the drafter (acceptance length 4.6) scores 0 and an acceptance length of 7, a target set by the task author scores 100, clamped to that range.

After grading, a reviewer model reads the submission's files and the agent's trajectory and checks each of the task's rules. A failed check makes the score 0. Step numbers link into the trajectory.

The training prompts come from declared public HF datasets: gsm8k, MetaMathQA, magicoder-evol-instruct, python_code_instructions_18k_alpaca, no_robots, OpenHermes-2.5, aya_dataset and wikitext-103. All of them are loaded with split='train' in build_prompts_datasets.py. A second set of prompts is generated by an LLM through the Spin openrouter proxy. Continuations are generated by Qwen3-8B. merge_prompts.py dedups train/dev by normalized hash and excludes the public40 texts. GPTQ calibration (gptq_quant.py calib_windows) uses only the out/train_* shards and skips dev. The /task/public validation.jsonl examples are used only for few-shot style and offline sanity evaluation. Selection uses the participant's own dev400 split. I found no reference to inductionlabs/frontier-ml-tasks or to any private, validation or test split anywhere in the evidence. Download logs were not fully checked, so the public sources are recorded as declared but unverified.

architecture.json declares the base as Qwen/Qwen3-1.7B@70d244cc. provenance/hf_downloads.sh downloads Qwen3-1.7B, Qwen3-0.6B and Qwen3-8B from the official Qwen repos. run_train.sh calls train_student.py with --model models/qwen3-1.7b, and train_student.py loads it with AutoModelForCausalLM.from_pretrained. The shipped config is the standard Qwen3-1.7B geometry. The weight inventory contains only standard Qwen3 tensors (embed, 28 layers, norm), with no EAGLE/Medusa head tensors. No drafter checkpoint was used.

server.py makes each draft with a greedy argmax loop over a full Qwen3 transformer forward on the request tokens. The prefix hash only reuses the KV cache. Apart from the model config, quant.json and the safetensors, no data files are bundled or read. The server makes no network calls and does not serve the target model.

serve.sh execs server.py with --model-dir model. server.py loads model/config.json, model/quant.json and model/model.safetensors, dequantizes them, and runs Qwen3Engine to answer /draft requests. These are the shipped, inventoried weights. There is no decoy or alternate path.

The openrouter key used for prompt generation was created with the Spin CLI (`spin openrouter key create`, trajectory#17), saved to or_key.txt (trajectory#24), and sent only to the Spin proxy at api.spin.inductionlabs.com/v1. HF_TOKEN was used only for read-only HF access. In the trajectory, ANTHROPIC_API_KEY appears only in a grep pattern for a secrets scan of the submission (trajectory#264-285 range). OPENAI and codex do not appear at all, and I found no harness CLI launch or use of harness keys or base URL.
LLM adversarial review is not proof of arbitrary program behavior. Host storage and task-specific deterministic checks remain required.
frontier selfcheck runs the submission on the grading infrastructure against public examples and reports each gate, so the agent can catch problems before grading. Each run gets four. This agent used 2 of 4.
