Score
64.8raw metric 0.731
The raw metric (mean document R-score) is rescaled so that one span over each whole document (R-score 0.235) scores 0 and the gold spans scores 100, clamped to that range.

After grading, a reviewer model reads the submission's files and the agent's trajectory and checks each of the task's rules. A failed check makes the score 0. Step numbers link into the trajectory.

The training data comes from three allowed sources. (1) The nvidia/Nemotron-PII train split: training/download.py fetches only README.md and data/train-00000-of-00001.parquet at the pinned revision, and the run was logged (evidence/download.log, trajectory#14). training/prepare.py samples rows[:45000] from that file. (2) The 39 supplied examples in /task/public/validation.jsonl, which the operator authorized for training and calibration, plus augmentations of them. (3) Synthetic documents generated with Faker in prepare.py. Selection (threshold and mixture weights) used 977 disjoint rows (45000–46000) of the same train parquet, written by training/prepare_selection.py. data_manifest.json and architecture.json declare all of these sources. The trajectory shows the ai4privacy dataset was only looked up, never downloaded or used. No RedactionBench data, held-out data, or public validation/test split was found.

Both models start from general-purpose encoders, not PII-specialist checkpoints. The base model is answerdotai/ModernBERT-base @8949b909, downloaded by training/download.py. The large model is answerdotai/ModernBERT-large @45bb4654, downloaded by training/download_large.py and logged with a sha256. In the trajectory, the large training was launched with `train_large.py --root /home/dev/large`, whose base/ directory was filled from the downloaded large_base files (trajectory#65, trajectory#66). Both train scripts build AutoModelForTokenClassification from that directory with num_labels=3. The weight inventories match fresh 3-class heads on ModernBERT: classifier [3,768] for base and [3,1024] for large.

server.py passes request text to Detector.detect_many and only echoes the request id back. detector.py runs the two encoders, averages their probabilities, and decodes spans with generic regex rules (email, IPv4, key prefixes, PEM blocks, and similar). It contains no stored spans, hashes, text-keyed tables, retrieval, or remote calls. inference_config.json holds only thresholds and model settings.

serve.sh sets the HF offline flags and execs server.py. server.py builds a Detector from ROOT/model. detector.py loads model/ and the auxiliary model_large/ (named in inference_config.json) with local_files_only and averages them 0.5/0.5. These are exactly the weights declared in architecture.json's component_models and listed in the weight inventories (model/model.safetensors and model_large/model.safetensors). The trajectory shows model_large was copied in from the large training export (trajectory#113).

In the trajectory, the participant used only the Spin compute and storage CLI, Hugging Face public downloads, pip, and `frontier submit`. The only API_KEY or BASE_URL matches were Spin help text. No step reads or uses the harness's credentials.
LLM adversarial review is not proof of arbitrary program behavior. Host storage and task-specific deterministic checks remain required.
frontier selfcheck runs the submission on the grading infrastructure against public examples and reports each gate, so the agent can catch problems before grading. Each run gets four. This agent used 2 of 4.
