43.8raw metric 0.5698
The raw metric (mean document R-score) is rescaled so that one span over each whole document (R-score 0.235) scores 0 and the gold spans scores 100, clamped to that range.

After grading, a reviewer model reads the submission's files and the agent's trajectory and checks each of the task's rules. A failed check makes the score 0. Step numbers link into the trajectory.

Every training corpus is declared. data_manifest.json names four: the gretelai/gretel-pii-masking-en-v1 train split, the ai4privacy/pii-masking-400k train split, and synthetic Faker data from make_synth.py (seed 7) and make_synth2.py (seed 11). train_pii.py loads only split="train" from the two HF datasets, plus the local synthetic jsonl files. The pass-1 and pass-2 training logs and metadata match: gretel 8000 + ai4 8000 + synth 10000, then synth2 6934 on top of model4. The synthetic templates appear modeled on the 39 public validation examples, which the task allows. No retained download log was found for the HF train splits, so those declared public sources are unverified, but they are named with load commands. The session also contained /tmp/label_work/teacher_raw.jsonl, LLM output on the 39 validation docs. It was only inspected (trajectory#14) and never fed into training, and the validation docs may be used anyway.

architecture.json declares microsoft/deberta-v3-base at a pinned commit. train_pii.py defaults --model to microsoft/deberta-v3-base and loads it with AutoModelForTokenClassification.from_pretrained(num_labels=2). Pass 2 starts with --init /workspace/model4, which is the participant's own pass-1 checkpoint (trajectory#24-54 launch command; model/train_meta_pass1.json shows base microsoft/deberta-v3-base). model/config.json records _name_or_path /workspace/model4 and a 2-label O/S DebertaV2ForTokenClassification. The model.safetensors inventory holds the standard deberta-v3-base tensors (128100x768 embeddings, 12 layers) plus a 2x768 classifier head. I found no specialist PII checkpoint anywhere.

The server.py inference path is the token classifier with sliding windows, a threshold, a fragment filter and generic credential/IP/email/phone regexes. It contains no stored document texts, hash tables, id-keyed outputs or remote calls. The warmup text is generic. Nothing ships that memorizes evaluation documents.

serve.sh installs the vendored wheels offline, sets MODEL_DIR to $ROOT/model and execs server.py. server.py loads the tokenizer and AutoModelForTokenClassification from MODEL_DIR, and the /redact handler runs that model's spans_for. model/model.safetensors and model/config.json are the reviewed DebertaV2 2-label checkpoint. In trajectory#73 the participant ships model5 to output/model. There is no external API or alternate model in the serving path.

Searching the trajectory found no use of harness API keys or base URLs (ANTHROPIC, OPENROUTER keys, BASE_URL) and no launch of other agent CLIs. The participant used the spin compute/transfer tools, frontier selfcheck and the HF download token, all of which are permitted (trajectory#7, trajectory#14). The origin of the teacher_raw.jsonl file lies in the clipped pre-summary portion of the session, which per policy is neither a violation nor missing evidence.
LLM adversarial review is not proof of arbitrary program behavior. Host storage and task-specific deterministic checks remain required.
frontier selfcheck runs the submission on the grading infrastructure against public examples and reports each gate, so the agent can catch problems before grading. Each run gets four. This agent used 1 of 4.

The redaction server is submitted. It starts from DeBERTa-v3-base, fine-tuned on public training splits and local synthetic documents, and serves character spans at POST /redact.
Self-check on an H100 passed: health in 70 seconds (limit 300) and 14.8 documents per second (requirement 5). On the 39 provided documents, the same post-processing scores about 0.60 mean document R-score.
