Score
0.0raw metric 0.001263
The raw metric (accuracy on GPQA Diamond, MATH-500, LiveCodeBench v6 and MMLU-Pro) is rescaled so that chance on each benchmark scores 0 and the original autoregressive MiniCPM5-2B scores 100, clamped to that range; each of the 4 benchmarks is rescaled on its own and the score is their mean.

After grading, a reviewer model reads the submission's files and the agent's trajectory and checks each of the task's rules. A failed check makes the score 0. Step numbers link into the trajectory.

Training started from the pinned MiniCPM5-2B revision. In trajectory#35 the participant downloaded config.json, tokenizer.json and model-00000-of-00001.safetensors from huggingface.co/openbmb/MiniCPM5-2B/resolve/12a3808a956f869c767195e9266b59c4d21d92e2. In trajectory#21 they copied the supplied /artifacts/minicpm5-2b checkpoint into output/model. The shipped model inventory has the base Llama-layout tensors: embed_tokens, lm_head, and q/k/v/o and MLP weights at the expected shapes. diffusion_model.load_base loads that file strictly; only mask_embedding and lora keys may be missing. train_adapter.py trains only the LoRA and mask_embedding parameters on top of the frozen base. The 3000-step stage started from the base. The 6000-step continuation started from training_artifacts/diffusion_adapter_3000.safetensors, which is the same LoRA plus mask_embedding format.

The final training corpus is HuggingFaceH4/ultrachat_200k split train_sft, loaded in train_adapter.py and declared in architecture.json and training_manifest.json. A discarded development run used wikitext-103 train. In the trajectory, the benchmark files under /task/public/benchmarks (GPQA, LiveCodeBench test.jsonl) were only peeked at for format (the first row) or listed. They were never uploaded to the training lease or used as training data. No validation or test split appears in any training code or manifest.

server.py generates by iterative masked-token denoising. Each block starts fully masked (MASK_ID 130082). Each pass runs the full model with bidirectional attention (is_causal=False) and the learned mask embedding at masked positions. Tokens are committed in confidence order on a linear schedule: a single block with 3 steps when max_tokens ≤ 1024, otherwise 32-token blocks with 16 steps each. This is block diffusion with no autoregressive one-token-at-a-time decoding path.

serve.sh runs server.py, which calls load_model(ROOT/'model', ROOT/'diffusion_adapter.safetensors'). load_base strictly loads model/model-00000-of-00001.safetensors. load_lora requires the adapter keys to match the LoRA parameters plus mask_embedding exactly. The adapter inventory contains exactly the rank-8 q/k/v/o lora_A/lora_B tensors and mask_embedding. In trajectory#272 the final 9000-step adapter was copied into output with sha256 0ea9aaa9…, which matches training_manifest.json. No other weights are loaded.

OPENAI_API_KEY appears only in an environment listing, already redacted, in trajectory#6. The participant made no direct OpenAI API calls and no codex exec or base-URL use. External access went through spin (`spin openrouter models` in trajectory#9, plus spin compute and s5cmd transfers), and HF downloads, all of which are permitted.
LLM adversarial review is not proof of arbitrary program behavior. Host storage and task-specific deterministic checks remain required.
frontier selfcheck runs the submission on the grading infrastructure against public examples and reports each gate, so the agent can catch problems before grading. Each run gets four. This agent used 1 of 4.

Submitted at 2026-10-03 06:07:59 UTC. The package includes the offline server, MiniCPM5 checkpoint, 9,000-step diffusion adapter, and training provenance in training_manifest.json.
frontier selfcheck passed: startup 69.9 seconds; slowest measured reply 854 tokens/s. It does not score benchmark quality or test 32-request concurrency. Its GPQA smoke reply lacked the expected answer-letter format. The local validate.py attempt could not connect to 127.0.0.1:8000, so no benchmark score was obtained.
