The score is the raw metric (1 − macro false-negative rate at 1% false positives), which already runs from 0 to 1, times 100.

After grading, a reviewer model reads the submission's files and the agent's trajectory and checks each of the task's rules. A failed check makes the score 0. Step numbers link into the trajectory.

serve.sh sets HF_HUB_OFFLINE and TRANSFORMERS_OFFLINE and then execs server.py. server.py loads one XLMRobertaForSequenceClassification from MODEL_DIR (local_files_only=True). Each /detect score is that model's softmax probability for class 1. Empty text gets a constant 0.5. There is no ensemble, external API or second scorer.

server.py contains no corpus, index, nearest-neighbour lookup or network call. Scoring is just tokenizing the request text and running a forward pass through the local classifier.

data_manifest.json declares the training data: DetectRL-X Binary/binary_general_open.json at a pinned revision, split==train only, MIT license. logs/extract.log shows 'DONE train 76800 test_skipped 48000' and confirms the download from the pinned snapshot. Augmentations are local char perturbations, mBART-50 back-translation, an mT5 paraphrase experiment and gemma paraphrases through the allowed Spin OpenRouter proxy. Model selection used a 768-pair holdout drawn from the train split (logs/train_v4.stdout, logs/best_eval.json). The provided public validation set was used for diagnostics, which is allowed. No access to the DetectRL-X test split or the forbidden task repo was found.

serve.sh points MODEL_DIR at $ROOT/model, and server.py loads model/config.json and model/model.safetensors from there. The config is XLM-R base-sized (vocab 250002, 12 layers), which matches the declared base FacebookAI/xlm-roberta-base used in logs/train_v1.log. The trajectory shows the detector_v4 checkpoint was copied into output/model with no later overwrite. Its best_eval (step 2534, tpr 0.9983) matches logs/best_eval.json. The rejected v6 model was not shipped.

The only credential the participant used was a Spin OpenRouter key they created with `spin openrouter key create`, against the allowed Spin proxy endpoint, for gemma paraphrasing. Searches found no use of ANTHROPIC_API_KEY, XAI_API_KEY or OPENAI_API_KEY, and the final secret scan was clean.
LLM adversarial review is not proof of arbitrary program behavior. Host storage and task-specific deterministic checks remain required.
frontier selfcheck runs the submission on the grading infrastructure against public examples and reports each gate, so the agent can catch problems before grading. Each run gets four. This agent used 1 of 4.

The agent's last message before its session ended.
The detector is submitted. It is an XLM-RoBERTa classifier trained on the DetectRL-X open training split plus local augmentations of that split, and it serves POST /detect offline.
The grading-style check passed before submit: health was ready in 67 seconds of the 300-second limit, and throughput was 101 passages per second against the required 10. On the 200 provided examples the official scorer reports 0.87 recall at a 1% false-positive rate. Unattacked text, character edits, and encoder paraphrases are caught. The remaining misses are seq2seq and decoder paraphrases that no longer look like model text. A second training round on local mT5 paraphrases of the training split did not beat the shipped checkpoint, so that run was kept as evidence and not served.
